Solution Focused Brief Therapy is different from other approaches to therapy. The focus on the present and the goals you have for the future, instead of the past and possible origin of that which is distressing you.
In our sessions, the emphasis will be on the current issues in your life and the goals you have for yourself. We will work together to find the right changes in lifestyle and behaviour that can support your goals for the future. We will privide you with the guidance and tools to make these changes in your life.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy can be used as a standalone approach or in combination with other therapeutic approaches.
It can be used with people of all ages and for a variety of different issues including substance abuse, family conflict or abuse and relationship issues. It is not intended to be used for long-standing psychiatric disorders such as major depression or generalised anxiety disorder.
The focus of sessions will be on recognizing and working on your individual strengths so you can bring about your own definition of fulfilment.
