Anxiety

Anxiety can cause a great deal of suffering in our lives. It can stop us from doing things we need to do in order to get by. Doing well at work, deal with conflict and disagreements, or making everyday decisions become arduous work.

It can paralyse us with a sense  of insecurity. Feeling like we have to be constantly alert in case something bad happens. Self-doubt and insecurity can stifle our personal growth. As a consequence, we don’t get to live the kinds of experiences, relationships and careers that we want for ourselves.

Anxiety can also prevent us from enjoying things too. You avoid certain places or activities because you feel a sense that things will go wrong. Your heart races for no apparent reason and you feel the urge to withdraw from the situation.

Therapy Can Help

In therapy, you can address these feelings and learn ways to deal with them in a healthy way, so you can move past them and find relief.

Finding peace and a sense of certainty about where you stand and were you want to go is possible through therapy. We will talk about your thoughts about the situations you find challenging. We will also enquire whether these emotions are something recent or whether they have always been there to some degree.

With some time, you can release the pressure and start walking through life with more ease and calm.

You might be dealing with anxiety if you are experiencing the following

– Excessive worrying

– Restlessness or  feeling “on edge” most of the time

– Feeling very tired or fatigued

– Having trouble concentrating or focusing on work

– Feeling irritable and tense

– Trouble falling or staying asleep

– Avoiding social situations
